Not worth £100 a night! considering the room alone is £100 then for tickets is another £40 then you have to factor in food that is VERY expensive it cost me £200 for a single night. The restaurant portions are good but its very expensive, we had x2 meals and x2 drinks and it came to £50! if there was more than two of you the bill would easily hit £70+ just for ONE drink and ONE meal forget a dessert or second drink. Room itself is okay but nothing special, heating control in our room had a mind of its own and has a max temp of only 24 degrees which it hardly ever went up to and at night it just switched off so clearly their controlling it to save money, balcony has no shelter above so when it rains you can't sit on it, hotel was pretty empty but was given a room with a view of the car park...defo ask for a room facing the zoo itself. As for service all we kept getting was someone trying our door a good few times through out the morning which turned out to be cleaners seeing if we was gone! check out is 11 yet from like 9 all we kept getting was the door handle being tried and if it wasn't for the lock they would have just walked in while we was still in bed! they not once announced themselves and was clearly doing it to wake us up and try to make us leave sooner..tv is just freeview with apps that make it seem like you've got something decent to watch just to click it and be asked to pay like £10 for a night of ONE movie. Its a nice park and hotel but the prices are just insane, £10 for a cheap necklace, would cost you like £25 for one meal and drink even if you went by yourself, vending machines are also expensive, you would be better off buying the tickets then stopping in a premier inn or travel lodge for night instead as £100 just isn't worth it sadly and i wouldn't stop again, if we went here for more than a night or took kids the bil would have easily doubled, animals were okay but sadly most were inside, park closes at 4 which makes no sense to me and you cant clock into a room until 3? so past 4pm your stuck either in your room all night or you can sit in a restaurant that costs a fortune until like 10pm which is probably why they've done it to make more money, zero entertainment at night, now after looking back days later what did i really get for over £200? a bed for night with worse tv than a pub and got to see maybe 50% of the parks animals.

We loved our stay, I recommend a room overlooking the park so you can watch the animals early morning routines.

I booked the overnight stay with the lion experience for my wife's birthday and everything was absolutely fantastic! I asked staff to do something to make it more special and they upgraded us from a standard to a suite which was mega amazing! My wife was super happy so I'm very grateful to the staff for making our stay extra special. Bed was very comfortable, the room was perfectly clean with a great view of the whole park and we could even hear the sea lions in the distance!

Fantastic Hotel, that literally had a feel of a Safari Lodge, in Kenya or Tanzania. We had an accessible room, and it was amazing, very spacious, nice quality drinks for you to make, the whole hotel and Park is totally wheelchair friendly. The staff deserve a special mention, as they were all professional, friendly and relaxed in their various roles, Anna was very informative during the pre-arrival and check in. Sandra and Chris, and everyone else, made sure the Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Will definitely be returning to the Hex Hotel & Park, and 100% will be recommending to family and friends.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. It was a little small and we could hear some noise from other rooms, but for the price we paid we thought it was great value.

Hex Wildlife Hotel was great, we overlooked a Maned wolf outside our room in the mornings. Breakfast had a wide choice. Rooms modern spacious and good for kids having adjoining rooms. Only complaints were towel rails didn’t get hot enough (due to H&S we were told) to dry anything quickly and you couldn’t use your own HDMI device on the TV as they’ve locked down the input selection, kind of understandably, but you can Chromecast from your own devices. Evening meals were nice and reasonably priced with loads of free entertainment included, animatronic dinos and Easter Island Moai statues in the restaurants, a kids disco, quiz or bingo. Will certainly stay again, a big bonus that the park entry was included in the price of the hotel stay.

Upon arrival my 92 year old father had to walk from the disabled car park to the reception and then across to the hotel and down a long corridor. I think it should be pointed out in the right ups on the hotel that there is quite a walk from the carpark to the hotel. The receptionist was quite unhelpful and didn't suggest asking for a wheelchair from the park to help my dad. I found out later that this could have happened . He was struggling to breathe and his hip was giving way. But no help was forthcoming. This is the only thing that spoilt our break. Everything else was just brilliant 👏

Room stank of cigarettes. Couldn’t sleep due to this. Bedding stank of cigarettes! Unfortunately we had time constraints and it was late returning to our room after having dropped off our bags so couldn’t change the room. How pathetic having a beanbag for seating! It’s a space nuisance and please donate these to kids nursery schools! That’s where they belong!

The rooms are clean and have a small fridge and safe. There is tea and coffee provided with a kettle, but only 4 tea bags so bring your own if you like a few cups. The bath/shower was spacious and the water piping hot, with a nice selection of washing products and towels provided. We also found it quiet but it wasn't peak season. Access to WiFi is provided and there was a good size TV in the room. I did have trouble charging my phone though even though there are plenty of sockets. Bed was comfy

A Memorable Stay at Hex Wildlife Hotel, A Mix of Delight and Small Disappointments. Our recent stay at Hex Wildlife Hotel, located mere minutes from the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, was an overall enjoyable experience that I would recommend—especially if you’re planning a visit to the park. We were fortunate enough to stay in a Balcony Suite that provided stunning views of the park, and it truly elevated our trip. Upon entering our suite, we were immediately struck by how clean, bright, and airy the space was. The decor was modern and inviting and furnished with an exceptionally comfortable bed. I must commend the thoughtful provision of storage space in the bedroom, which made it easy to settle in without any clutter. creating a perfect backdrop for relaxation after our day’s adventures. The hotel’s ambiance allowed us to unwind comfortably, which was a big plus. However, there were a couple of minor issues that could be improved. Firstly, while the overall cleanliness was commendable, we did notice some dust in a few places, as well as a handful of cobwebs. Secondly, the 4 complimentary milk sachets felt a bit lacking; with a price tag exceeding £200 a night, I expected more than just four little sachets of milk for our beverages. Thirdly, we encountered a bit of a challenge with the lighting design of our suite. We had specifically booked a suite to have some space and the option for different lighting settings, as I stay up later than my partner. Unfortunately, we found that the main lights for the suite could only be turned on or off together, meaning we couldn’t keep the living area illuminated while having the bedroom lights off. This lack of flexibility was frustrating and inconvenient, especially when one of us wanted to wind down later in the evening, these minor oversights detracted slightly from an otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Despite these minor gripes, our stay at Hex Wildlife Hotel provided a pleasant and comfortable base for our adventure to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park & Hive Shopping Centre , a few minor adjustments could elevate the experience. With a focus on cleanliness and attention to detail in room amenities, this hotel has the potential to fully deliver on its promise of a relaxing stay in a beautiful setting.

Hôtel de très bon standing, situé juste devant le YWP. Les chambres sont spacieuses, la décoration chaleureuse, et la litterie de très bonne qualité. À recommander pour un séjour au parc ou bien une nuit avant de reprendre l'avion.

We had been to Yorkshire wildlife park before. But chose to stay at the hotel this time. Definitely worth doing. Room was clean and modern, air conditioning was great. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Easy access to the car park. Hotel is right next to park entrance. Breakfast was served in restaurant next door. This was a buffet breakfast (eat as much as you like) with large choice of hot and cold. Highly recommend staying here.

Really superb in every aspect, except the distance from the disabled car park to reception is approximately half a mile, or feels so. We are both disabled and it was a long difficult trek. Followed by another couple of hundred yards to the hotel. The staff could not have been lovelier, and arranged for our luggage to be taken to the room. There needs some facility from the car park, ie an electric buggy to transport clients and luggage to reception, or a drop off point alongside reception. Checking if disabled clients need help prior to arrival. I stated we were disabled and couldn't walk far when asked before arrival and heard nothing.

This is the third time we have stayed at the hotel after a visit to the park. We always ask for chairs in the room as older folks bean bags aren't for us. They always oblige. The room is spotless and shower was great.Staff are very polite and helpful. We had breakfast in the bistro which was delicious and plenty choice . Only niggle is the paths from car park make ot difficult to drag suitcase.

For parents of toddlers... It's great! Can get travel cots, there's a kitchen to prepare any food, bottle warmer, microwave, sink for washing up and bending machines which have bottles of cows milk.

This place is a tourist destination to take your kids to in the school holidays but to make income when the kids are at school they also let rooms to business travellers like me. First observation is that when you park your car on the rough gravel car park you have to walk/drag your suitcases 200m from the nearest parking place to reception, then 300m to the hotel and then another 200m to my room. The footpath floods when it rains so wear suitable foot wear. The staff are awesome, well trained and very friendly and helpful. On the negative side I have to say that the cooked breakfast my company paid daily for was invariably COLD and dry (sausage, bacon, egg, beans, tomato etc) and the breakfast buffet of a cheese slice, a ham slice, some cereal just did not justify the excessive cost to my employer (I chose not to bother with breakfast after two disappointing attempts. Now, the rooms are nice BUT! I have a double room despite I am here alone. There is a desk for me to use my laptop for work and home stuff but it is really high as it is also used for a women's make up table. There is no chair, just a short stool. If I sit on the stool and try to use my laptop on the desk I have to raise my arms to shoulder height! It is impossible to watch TV comfortably from any seat in the room. Next observation. I am in a double room but there is only one chair. Luckily they have supplied a BEAN BAG! How does a fat 58 year old use a bean bag. The room has a TV but does not provide access to television. Netflix and YouTube are your only paid viewing options. Every one else can go stare at the wall. Oh yes, one more minor thing, I'm a business person on business that needed a minor business service (scan a document and email it) but they couldn't do it.

I paid for a room over looking where the animals are, instead I’m over looking the bins, rooftop and entrance to the park. I’ve also noticed that some rooms have a balcony which I would have loved ideally, but these where not clear when booking. The room was big, clean etc but I felt underwhelmed as I was expecting a better view and experience.
